CAIR-Chicago to Host United Nations Diplomat

Continuing its partnership with the International Visitors Center of Chicago, CAIR-Chicago will host a diplomat from Egypt on Tuesday, October 7, 2008. The visit is co-sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.
Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed A Ibrahim is the Third Secretary in the Commercial Office of the Permanent Mission of Egypt in the United Nations (UN) Office located in Geneva, Switzerland. Egypt is one of the 52 permanent representation members of the Organization of Islamic Conferences (OIC) accredited to the UN.
Mr. Ibrahim is in the United States through the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program. The Chicago portion of his program is focused upon international commerce, the Muslim community’s relations with the wider community, and electoral politics.
CAIR-Chicago will share how it strives to bridge the gaps between interfaith and diverse communities.
