Executive Director to Speak at Journalism Conference

CAIR Chicago's executive director, Ahmed Rehab will be speaking at the upcoming journalism conference, Communities in Flux: The Impact of Economic Turmoil and Shifting Demographics. This two-day seminar is intended to give professional journalists a fresh view of changing communities and look at how new challenges affect their audience. The 20 attendees will be selected by application and will have a particular interest in new trends in the issues, emerging theories and under-reported stories from leading experts in the field.
Rehab will speak on a panel called "The Voices at the Table," which will plan to discuss who gets to speak for which communities -- and discuss strategies for finding sources beyond "the usual suspects."
