ROSEMONT, Ill. (WLS) -- More than 1,000 Muslims from all over the Midwest gathered in Rosemont Saturday night.
They attended the fourth annual banquet of the Council on American Islamic Relations. The theme: American Muslims, Defining Ourselves.
The council is the country's largest Muslim civil rights organization. The Chicago office says it is the council's fastest growing chapter.
The office says about 400,000 Muslims live in the Chicago area.
