CAIR-Chicago Takes on New Citizenship Delay Case

CAIR-Chicago Staff Attorney Heena Musabji took on representation of a pro se litigant fighting for resolution of his citizenship application.
He feels he is in limbo since he passed his naturalization interview in 2005 where he was informed that a decision could not be made on his naturalization due to a pending national security checks.
He filed a lawsuit in federal court in hopes of hastening the road to citizenship. It is confirmed that the government has expedited his case since the filing of this suit.
CAIR-Chicago will continue to represent Muslims who are experiencing lengthy delays in obtaining citizenship.
