Two Citizenship Delay Clients Become Naturalized
March 21, 2007
Two clients in CAIR-Chicago’s Citizenship Delay Project were naturalized after long delays in obtaining their citizenship.
One of the clients was a woman who had been waiting since June of 2004 to receive citizenship.
The other client was a man who had been waiting since August of 2004. The two were both sworn in along with about 100 other people receiving citizenship that day.
CAIR-Chicago continues to address the problem of lengthy delays in obtaining citizenship for Muslims in America.
