The trial of a man charged with aggravated battery has been continued until next month. The man and another attacker is alleged to have beat a teenaged Arab boy with a led pipe. Although there is no known motive for the crime, the police did not charge the attack as a hate crime.

The extended family of the boy have also been swarmed with a series of hate crimes on their property, including having "camel jockey" spray painted on the lawn of a relative.

CAIR-Chicago will continue to monitor the trial closely.
