MYLS Coordinator Mokaram Rauf and Outreach Coordinator Gerald Hankerson will present a workshop on Youth Leadership in Civic Engagement and Community Service at Northern Illinois University (NIU) in DeKalb. The workshop will be based on their development and implementation of the Muslim Youth Leadership Symposium (MYLS) in Chicago. The program is in partnership with NIU’s international Training Office (ITO) of the Division International Programs. There will be 20 Muslim and Christian youth participants and three adult participants from the southern Philippines islands of Mindanao.
