Shorouk Akarah

Outreach Intern - Fall 2024

Shorouk is an Outreach Intern for the Fall 2024 session. She is a senior at DePaul University and expects to graduate in 2025 with her BA in criminology and a minor in political science. She aspires to become a state prosecutor, so after graduating with her BA she plans on pursuing law school. Shorouk decided to join CAIR-Chicago because of her passion for civil rights as well as defending Muslim rights. Shorouk enjoys advocating for Palestine and human rights, by joining social justice movements in her spare time.
