"It is hot here today, but it is hotter at the border. The heat of crowds like this around the country is enough to melt ICE," CAIR-Chicago Executive Director Ahmed Rehab said, pushing for the public to hold the administration accountable. "The challenges facing America today come down to one basic question: should race/religion determine your rights and privileges in this country," he added. CAIR-Chicago board member, Ahlam Jbara , emcee'd the event with Oscar Chacon.

This is the time to stand up against bigoted, racist and hateful policies such as family separation and the #MuslimBan.
The rally/march sent a strong and clear message that Chicago is united in welcoming immigrants, refugees, and asylum-seekers as a strength to our communities, not a threat.
Stay tuned for future strategies and actions!
