Mohaned was joined by several Chicago area residents, describing the life and death of their family members in Gaza, stories that number in the hundreds, with many survivors left sleeping on cold streets, facing disease, injury and starvation. This press conference at the Council on American Islamic Relations offices in the Loop,meant as a call to Chicago’s Mayor, the Illinois Governor, and elected US representatives to have open conversations about providing humanitarian assistance to civilians in Gaza.
