VIDEO: CAIR-Chicago Hosts Towards Sacred Activism

Yesterday, CAIR-Chicago Research Coordinator M. Tauseef Akbar and CAIR-Michigan Executive Director Dawud Walid held a discussion about Walid's book, Toward Sacred Activism.

During the conversation, they covered numerous controversies that have erupted in the Muslim American community over the pursuit and involvement of well-known Muslim figures in social justice causes, joining movements and alliances that have raised questions about commitments to fundamental sacred values to Islam. They also addressed how Muslims could engage the important struggles of the day, in a balanced way, beyond Left or Right, that maintains a commitment without compromise to Islam.
