Deputy Director Sufyan Sohel Joins Allies in Book Discussion

On Monday, June 13, CAIR-Chicago Deputy Director Sufyan Sohel joined senior staff at Right to Be and partners from Advancing Justice affiliates from around the country in a Facebook Live event discussing the book “I've Got Your Back: The Indispensable Guide to Stopping Harassment When You See It.”  The Book, written by Emily May and Jorge Arteaga at Right to Be provides insight in Right to Be’s efforts to identify and stop harassment.  CAIR-Chicago has partnered with Advancing Justice Chicago and Right to Be (formerly Hollaback) to develop and facilitate Bystander Trainings since late 2020.

“I am so thankful for this partnership.  Hate and harassment are, unfortunately, all around us.  The Bystander curriculum developed by Right to Be has given us another tool to serve our communities.  People want to help out and these tools give them an easy way to support those affected” reflected Sohel.
