Civil Rights Director to Speak at Breaking Barriers, Building Bridges Conference

The Breaking Barriers, Building Bridges Conference, sponsored by the Chicago Bar Association, will cover various topics regarding increasing diversity and raising awareness on issues important to different communities. Civil Rights Director Christina Abraham will speak on a panel with other legal advocates and community leaders that will provide a snapshot of pressing civil rights issues affecting Chicago’s minority communities. The panel will explore similarities and differences of the top struggles that impact African American, Asian American, Latino, and Muslim American communities. The panelists will also share strategies for legal professionals to become more involved in these issues.
