Are you interested in gaining professional hands-on experience working in social justice advocacy? You happen to be in luck - CAIR-Chicago is currently accepting applications for our Winter/Spring internship program!

CAIR-Chicago is currently accepting applications for its coveted Internship and Externship Program for Winter/Spring 2013!

The Winter/Spring session generally runs from January to May. Current high school, college (or recent graduates) and graduate students are encouraged to apply. The application deadline is Friday, December 21st.

To apply, you’ll need to submit all of the following documents to complete your application:

1. Application Form signed and dated with all spaces/boxes filled with the most updated information and honest and thoughtful responses (submitted through email only).

2. Cover letter that specifies the position you’re applying and session (i.e., Winter/Spring or Summer) you’re applying for, as well as your interests and qualifications.

3. Resume that lists your most relevant and updated profile and contact information.

4. Samples (Department/Division administrators may require to submit at least one of the following samples).

  • Writing Sample, [Civil Rights] a drafted legal document or essay that reflects civil rights and advocacy as it pertains to CAIR-Chicago’s scope (max. 15 pages). [All other departments] an original work (2-3 pages) not submitted for academic course work that reflects CAIR-Chicago’s scope as it pertains to the applied position.
  • Portfolio, [Communications or Operations] a display of completed works displaying skills, interests and perspective that also reflects CAIR-Chicago’s scope as it pertains to the applied position. For example, applicants for a Communications internship should include samples of writing, video, audio, marketing, public relations, web, and/or graphic design work.
