Last night, CAIR-Chicago hosted a community discussion in honor of the Chicago Commission on Human Relations’ Arab Heritage Month. Speakers discussed the Arab Spring revolutions and the Wall Street protests.

Mayor Daley presented Zarzour with the 2009 Arab Heritage Month Award for Outstanding Contributions to Chicago’s Arab Community and commended him for his exceptional community service. “I am truly honored to receive this recognition on behalf of a dignified community from a city I am proud to serve," said Zarzour.

Yaser Tabbara, Executive Director and Ahmed Rehab, Communications Director, attended Mayor Daley's reception of the Chicago Commission on Human Relations Advisory Council on Arab Affairs. The reception was in celebration of Arab Heritage Month and took place at the Chicago Cultural Center, GAR Hall: 77 East Randolph Street, Chicago, Illinois from 5:50-7:00 p.m.
