Chicago Public Radio, WBEZ: 9/11 Primer, The Epoch of the Peacemakers
The Council on American-Islamic Relations-Chicago and the American Friends Service Committee present a special event created and organized by HumanThread, a Pilsen-based nonprofit dedicated to promoting peace and inspiring actions that build a just society. The 9/11 Primer will memorialize 9/11 and reaffirm the role of artists as peacemakers.

Communications Coordinator Amina Sharif to Speak at Interfaith Conference - Oct. 26, 2009
Sharif will be speaking at the Interfaith Youth Core's 6th Annual Conference along with CAIR-Oklahoma's Executive Director Razi Hashmi. The theme of this year's conference is "Leadership For a Religiously Diverse World." Sharif and Hashmi will be leading a "Speed Faithing" session on Islam, which will share basic information on the religion and it 1.5 billion followers.
