The Jewish-Muslim Community Building Initiative, presented by the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs and CAIR-Chicago, is holding a discussion and study of Jewish and Muslim texts in relation to youth and social change, in recognition of International Human Rights Day. The meeting will be hosted at the KnockBox Cafe, led by a rabbi and an imam from the Chicago area, and will feature discourse on the role of youth leadership in social progress.

Join Jewish and Muslims groups for the critically acclaimed play "Unveiled" on Sunday, March 7 at the Jewish Reconstructionist Congregation in Evanston. This compelling one-woman show about Muslim women in a post-9/11 world beautifully interweaves the topics of racism, hate crimes, love, Islam, tea, culture, language, life, and hope. Facilitated discussions will take place afterward.

When Ramadan and Rosh Hashana overlapped in September 2007, members of a Chicago interfaith group came together at a local synagogue to practice their respective rituals of prayer and feasting. The Jewish-Muslim Community-Building Initiative hosts get-togethers like that one throughout the city.
