CAIR-Chicago Welcomes EEOC Decree on Muslim Worker Discrimination Claims
Three Muslim employees alleged hostile work environment, unjust firing from Tinley Park Cadillac dealership. The Chicago Office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Chicago) has been representing these employees throughout the litigation and filed individual claims on their behalf.
Chicago Tribune: Rizza Cadillac created hostile environment for Muslim, Arab staff
The Chicago Office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations separately identified the targets of the alleged harassment as Medhat Adawy, his son Adam and Mohammed El-Hajjami. It said the harassment occurred from January 2007 to November 2009 and blamed Rizza Cadillac's finance manager at the time.
Arab Muslim employees face discrimination at local car dealership
The EEOC filed a lawsuit on Wednesday, September 18, charging a Tinley Park car dealership with harassment of three Arab Muslim employees. CAIR-Chicago will be filing further claims of discrimination on behalf of these employees later this week.
