Karina is currently a senior at UIC, studying Biology and Psychology, with a minor in Disability and Human Development. She hopes to go onto medical school after graduation. Karina joined CAIR as an intern in order to help fight against discrimination and bias that is so prevalent and normalized in the media today. She spends her free time volunteering as a Sunday school teacher and as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for foster children in the Chicagoland area. She also likes working out and spending time with her cat.
