Operations Intern - Winter/Spring 2024

Manal Amjad is a fourth-year student at University of Illinois  at Chicago (UIC) studying Applied Psychology. She is passionate about promoting justice and empowering American Muslims. Therefore, she is excited to join CAIR-Chicago and assist in advocating for marginalized groups who need a voice to speak for them. Manal is hoping to get her Masters’ in Applied Behavior Analysis and work with individuals with special needs. During the summer, she loves to work as a Daycare Teacher’s Assistant and teach children about the wonders of life. As someone who is bilingual, fluent in Urdu and English, she hopes to connect her culture with this passion to amplify underrepresented vocies and address systemic injustices. In her free time, Manal loves to go to the beach in the summer and have picnics with her family on her hot summer days.
