Outreach Intern - Summer 2024

Emily Ibrahim is a Summer 2024 Outreach Intern for CAIR-Chicago. She grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago and is an upcoming senior at Loyola University studying Political Science, Global Studies, and Economics. As a Muslim and Palestinian-American, Emily is incredibly familiar with the presence of Islamophobia within the political and social settings of the United States. Emily chose to intern at CAIR-Chicago to combat this anti-Muslim rhetoric, as well as to empower Muslims in the Chicago community. Upon graduation, she plans on pursuing a Master’s Degree in International Affairs and eventually working for a nonprofit or international organization that provides humanitarian assistance to refugees. In her free time, she enjoys reading, running, and playing soccer.
