CAIR-Chicago Meets with Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. to Discuss the Crisis in the Middle East

CAIR-Chicago Executive Director Ahmed Rehab, Governmental Relations Coordinator Sadiya Ahmed, Communications Coordinator Sultan Muhammad, and the Mosque Foundation’s Sheikh Kifah Mustafa met with Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-IL) Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at his district office. The in-district meeting was requested to discuss the current crisis in the Middle East and the Muslim community’s concerns. Among such concerns, the loss of civilian lives and the casualties were highlighted. In addition, there was an emphatic push to increase humanitarian aid to the region affected.

The meeting with Congressman Jackson Jr. is one of many that CAIR-Chicago is scheduling in the coming weeks.
