Communications Intern - Summer 2024

Leena Sfar is a Communications Intern at CAIR-Chicago. She is currently pursuing a double major in Philosophy and Cognitive Sciences at The University of Chicago. Leena has been an active member of the university community, serving as Secretary for the Muslim Students Association and being nominated for the 2024 Student Leader Award. Her passion for advocacy and community engagement led her to choose CAIR, where she aims to contribute to civil rights work while honing her legal writing skills, developed as a staff writer for the UChicago Undergraduate Law Magazine. Leena is fluent in Arabic, proficient in Spanish, and conversational in Brazilian Portuguese. In her spare time, she enjoys music, cooking, and rock climbing.
