Monia Alhelou

Operations Coordinator

Monia Alhelou is the Operations Coordinator at CAIR-Chicago. She holds a degree in International Relations, as well as Sociology & Anthropology, from Lake Forest College. While at Lake Forest, Monia worked with the Office of Intercultural Relations, organizing and managing cultural events and programs to promote diversity and engagement. Before attending college, Monia was awarded a scholarship to attend the United World Colleges of the Adriatic in Italy, where she developed a strong interest in using education to promote cross-cultural understanding and peace. After graduating, Monia applied her experiences and education to a career in the nonprofit sector in the Chicagoland area. Outside of work, Monia enjoys dabbling in graphic design and collaborates with artists who use their work to advocate for social change. Monia can be reached at malhelou@cair.com.
